Last week, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and a motorcycle manufacturer/importer recalled 260 Husqvarna closed course or competition motorcycles. These motorcycles are red, white and black, two-wheeled and designed for off-road riding. They were manufactured in Italy and sold throughout the U.S. from October 2012 through June 2013.
The recall was issued due to a risk of malfunction of the throttle cable, potentially causing a rider to lose control and crash. Roughly 260 motorcycles were recalled. The models involved in the recall include:
- CR125,
- WR125,
- WR250, and
- WR300.
While no injuries have been reported thus far, it is crucial for anyone who owns one of the recalled bikes to contact the manufacturer to obtain a free repair. Doing so can prevent a motorcycle crash and perhaps save a life. Owners and riders can call Husqvarna Motorcycles at 888.985.6090.
